I really think we ought to draft Mike Bloomberg for a Republican run at the presidency.
Honestly, he's more a Democrat than Obama, and he really does stick to his guns.
Plus he actually has a philosophy that he sticks to, unlike Obama who has proven to be a bit too "bipartisan" (read "weak") for my taste.
Look at Bloomie's record:
He has helped New York City stay afloat without screwing too many people.
Yes, he has been hard on the unions, but he has been fair too.
And honestly, he has been a good communicator in a very difficult time.
Everyone feels the pain here in NYC, and pretty equally.
He's proven that can get things done in a Republican or a Democratic environment.
And he has balls.
I would really like an alternative to Obama in 2012, so I am thinking about joining the Republicans and drafting Bloomberg.
Any thoughts?
