Opposition to the deal continues to pile up among Congressional Democrats. In the House, reports put Democratic opposition in the triple digits:
@GregMitch Greg Mitchell
Chuck Todd: Pelosi does not have votes in House right now for the deal--"triple digit" opposition
The situation isn’t much better for the deal in the Senate, where two more Democrats, Tom Harkin and Patrick Leahy, have announced their opposition to the deal in its current form. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has already said that he doesn’t think the votes are there in the Senate, unless the deal is changed.
It now seems very likely that the deal cannot pass without being changed. That is already a success for the Democratic opposition to the deal. Please, if you haven’t already, sign the thank you petition to those members of Congress who are forcing the deal to be changed.
