This is a brief diary - but I almost choked when I read some of Palin's words in her interview with Barbara Walters.
Sarah Palin also expressed a certain degree of bitterness over the original Couric interview -- which she has since called "a waste of time" -- and the lasting effect that it has had on the belief held by some that she is ignorant or uninformed.
"Because of that one episode, that one episode, that would turn an issue into what it has become over the last two years. I think that's ridiculous," Palin told Walters.
Palin, of course, refers to her inability to name Newspapers or books that she read. And she's right - it's not fair to tar someone based on words they spoke once or twice, right? Hmmmmm.... I'm glad Palin is blssed with deep understanding and forgiveness. Consider this excerpt from her new book...
Certainly his wife [Michelle Obama] expressed this [Anti-American] view when she said during the 2008 campaign that she had never felt proud of her country until her husband started winning elections. In retrospect, I guess this shouldn't surprise us, since both of them spent almost two decades in the pews of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright's church listening to his rants against America and white people.
So - the woman who is slammed as an idiot for her inability to once name some newspapers she reads slams Michelle Obama for a quote from a speech made years ago - all the while slamming the church the Obamas prayed in. Never mind that Palin and her husband Todd were heavily involved in an organization that advocated secessionfrom the United States! (I linked to Drudge to lend the charge conservative cred).
Regardless, Palin whines about unfair treatment and a lack of undertsanding, all the while treating others unfairly without offering ANY understanding whatsoever...
We reap, poor Sarah, what we sow...
