This is how I vent when I'm angry. I write letters to inept legislators. Today's target, Sen Kerry of MA. I know, a piss hole in the snow, but it makes me feel better.
I haven't mailed it yet, so if you have any suggestions, feel free. There is no pride in authorship here...
Now maybe I'm calm enough to watch the game...

The Honorable John Kerry
Senator from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
218 Russell Bldg.
Second Floor
Washington D.C. 20510-2102
Dear Senator Kerry,
The Democratic controlled US Senate had opportunity to make history. Instead, collectively, you’ve made the body look foolish. Specifically, I am referring to the recent health care legislation. Unfortunately, this is not a "one time" occurrence.
Here are just two examples:
• In response Senator Lieberman’s threats of a filibuster, you gutted "the public option" from the healthcare bill. It is not a coincidence that Senator Lieberman represents a state heavy in health insurance companies.
• President Obama has an unprecedented number of positions unfilled because Senator Shelby put a hold on 70 nominees over a $40 billion earmark.
On every substantial piece of legislation, the Senate appears unable to accomplish the people’s business. And at each failure, we hear something like "it’s the minority’s fault." Last I checked, in a democracy, majority rules. So why in the Senate do money and minority rule?
Please Senator Kerry, I urge you to do what it takes to fix healthcare in this nation. Abandon the "rules" of the senate that give the minority an unearned amount of power and control and govern like you are in the majority.
Sincerely,
