Wake up and Smell the Health Care!
I hope to attend a joyful and breath-of-fresh-air Coffee Party on Saturday 27th, somewhere in San Antonio... Wooooooo woooooot! ( Hello, The Foundry is still available....) I am smiling, eating popcorn, drinking wine, and watching joyfully as the Republican's are marching in lock step, one by one, down to the microphone and asking "unanimous consent to revise and extend their objection to "this flawed, dangerous, mostly flawed" health care legislation." Bwaaahaaahaaahaaaaaaa!
Shall we ask: "Hey Palin, how's that No-ey no no on everythingy going for ya, also?"
BWAAAAHAAAHAAHAAHAAA....!!!
Maybe not worth a whole diary, but I haven't indulged lately and I want to put this one point out there into the universe....
UPDATE BELOW... Now with video!
Haven't they heard that Stupak and his 6 have agreed to vote "YES!"
He he he heeee!
I look forward to using their "revised and extended" objections in future comments when their names are mentioned in this oh so justifiable Waterloo of their own making!
Hmmmmm by your words Congressman, you said "blah blah blah" against those who are needing care to stay alive, those who are born with a condition, the 32 million who had nothing before... etc...!!
BWAAAAAHAAAAHAAAHAAAAAAA...!
I think we just entered the 21st Century! It's about fukin time!
So much popcorn..... so much time!!
I think I'll need more wine!
Now, how does the Coffee Party proceed?
So far our local chapter is still voting on agenda and this part sounds good:
"We take strong exception to the judgment of the judiciary, which interprets the Constitution to mean that:
* Money equals speech
* Corporations have the same rights as persons which appears to allow them to speak so loudly and so often that the electorate can no longer discern propaganda from information
* There is no common sense interpretation of the Constitution to protect and defend a level playing field among public and wealthy private interests in the crafting of public policy."
NEWS UPDATE:
Michelle Bachman and wingnut motley crew are all over The Faux whining and crying how Stupak must have compromised since the Executive order "doesn't change anything" in the health care bill!!!
Duh!!
That's because federal funding for abortion was NEVER IN THE BILL!!
Aiy! Aiy! Aiy!
I may have to break out the Pinot Grigio & cheezy pringles (sorry cheeto eaters, just consider me a Maverick!)
