This isn't important enough to knock a daytime diary off the screen, perhaps, but at this time of night I judge it worthy. I have only recently learned the Tea Pary dogma about us and it is hellaciously funny. While getting my schadenfreude fix over at David Frum's Waterloo piece on the HCR vote yesterday (an okay analysis, btw, considering it was written by a Republican), I ran across this in the comments section and no, I'm not making this up:
Oh please, when will the morons out there open up their eyes and pick up on the fact that David Frum isn’t unhappy with what happened with Obamacare being forced through. He and all neo-cons desire the complete economic collapse of the US, because they desire the complete eradication of our constitution and bill of rights. Neo-cons are pro-slavery, pro-exploitation, anti-free speech. They demand a government that allows them to run roughshod over all of us, and our rights have been inconvenient to them.
Neo-cons are Marxists, just as their peers on the left are. Both extremes desire the same outcome, and share the any means to an end mindset.
Frum hopes to discredit real conservatives, traditional republicans, so as to elect more neo-cons. The left wing has corrupted the democrat party, but the traditional republicans who still have held to their pro-constitutional values, haven’t been corrupted.
It was the neo-cons in the previous administration, and the neo-cons like John McCain and Lindsey Graham, to name a few, who wholeheartedly went alone with ballooning deficits, and outsourcing and displacing citizens, who ran the government to enrich the banks and Wall St. They are no different than Obama and the congressional dems. Frum wants to drive a stake through our freedoms, and he needs to attack good and principled republicans, because they refused to be bought.
Let me tell you something David Frum, we’re not only going to send the demofascists to the rubbish heap of history, we’re going to send the neo-cons there as well. If I were you, I’d emigrate to Europe, because they embrace fascism there, they always have.
Later, in another comment, the same person added this (emphasis added):
[...]I share the belief that the neo-cons and the leftists are working in tandem to bring down the US, each through the infiltration of the two parties in our government. As I stated previously, the left have been successful, but the neo-cons have not. It’s painfully apparent, when you have neo-cons insulting and demeaning true conservatives, even calling them "racist" and "fascist". It’s the democrats and their leftist owners who are racist and fascist.. fascism did spring from socialism after all.
Incidentally, re: that last sentence--Jonah Goldberg may be (is) a tool, but he evidently is more dangerous than I'd given him credit for. I wonder how eager he is to acknowledge that his Liberal Fascism dreck provided some of the intellectual (cough) underpinnings of the Tea Party dogma?
