We're rich! Bank buyout stake in Citi being sold for $8 billion. Not a done deal yet, but Wall Street is "buzzing", says MSNBC.

What's a good liberal to think about this? I hated the bank bailout. Hated the thought of shoveling money into the machine that broke down so spectacularly and tragically.
Yet now, I find myself thinking, "Yeah! Suck on that Republicans. How much profit did the U.S. make during the Bush years? You geniuses keep talking about running government as business, and yet, a Democratic president and congress seem to have just made a profit from you were labeling ‘Socialism.’"
I guess they could always say that the bank bailout was Bush’s program and so this is Bush’s success.
But wasn’t it just yesterday coservascreamers were trying to pin TARP and all pre-2009 bailout programs on Obama?
And isn’t this recovery, which led to better bank results and a Bullish stock market, all directly attributable to Obama and, shudder, Tim G?
What’s a good liberal to think? I guess this, and this is the same thing I’ve been thinking a lot lately: "This didn’t go as I wanted, nor as I thought it would. But it’s a big win. And I like winning. Suck it, Republicans. See you in November."
