from the political message.
Let's remember that.
William G. Schiffbauer, a lawyer whose clients include employers and insurance companies, said: "The fine print differs from the larger political message. If a company sells insurance, it will have to cover pre-existing conditions for children covered by the policy. But it does not have to sell to somebody with a pre-existing condition. And the insurer could increase premiums to cover the additional cost."
Congressional Democrats were furious when they learned that some insurers disagreed with their interpretation of the law.
How silly we were to think otherwise.
So who interprets the law this time?
Democratically elected people or those who force and direct their hands?
Representatives are being bullied by representatives, and an ethics of humanity is replaced by ethics of the lifeboat.
Let's not forget this.
Let's remember all of it every time we see the self-satisfied faces of the investor and managing classes.
They were the people for whom health care reform was passed, and to a large extent, by whom the legislation was written.
