I know that no website and no website or news source can be entirely unbiased. But sometimes I am surprised. I mean, if I were watching Fox, I would expect it, but Youtube?
Is this this general knowledge? Is it just me? Any remotely political or news related search on Youtube seems to be conservatively bent. The comments are worse.
Once I posted a video diary regarding Obama's historic speech in the Mideast. I expressed my joy that the image other countries had of the United States seemed to be improving. I cannot remember the details. I think I blocked them out. Let's just say I immediately deleted most of the comments that I received.
Today I did a search on Robert Gibbs to see what I could get on the latest press conference. I'm sure there are better sources for this, but I was on Youtube and thought I'd try. I got videos entitled "Gibbs lies about Obama's birth certificate."
This is an example
Really? Still? Some of these were actually recent!
There was this
I have done searches on Obama's speeches as well. Invariably the majority of the results will involve videos contradicting what Obama said or mocking him.
This is what I got initially
I have no problem with free expression and I do welcome legitimate criticism of those in power. It just seems to me that these videos and the comments are filled with misinformation and racism. Is this an accurate random sampling of Americans? Would there be some reason for bias? Am I wrong about this?
I would love some opinions and/or information on this. I find this disturbing...It really put me in a bad mood and, of course, that's the main issue. No one wants me in a bad mood ; )
Seriously, any info?
