Some quick Tea-O-Cons in the local Boston news.
Seriously, these people don't care about smaller government. They are George W. Bush re-treds. They don't care about the size of government as long as it is THEIR kind of government. If I were a 'Ron Paul' Libertarian, I would be pissed....
Meet the Shirks, a family of 12 that came from Connecticut. Guess what, they are on Medicaid...
For the Shirks, it was a day for their children to seek inspiration from Palin and the other speakers, who questioned Obama’s patriotism and at least one of whom referred to him repeatedly as Barack Hussein.
The couple, who rely on Medicaid for their health care, were also upset about the nation’s new health reforms.
When asked why her family used state-subsidized health care when she criticized people who take handouts, Valerie Shirk said she did not want to stop having children, and that her husband’s income was not enough to cover the family with private insurance.
Meet John Killion, a US Postal Service worker from South Boston. Yes, a mailman complaining about government spending...anyway, on the topic of a counterdemonstrator:
John Killion, a US Postal Service worker from South Boston, one of the other Tea Partiers in the group, said he thought the counterdemonstrator "was in pretty poor taste. Their space is never invaded."
"The best policy is just to surround him, smoke him out, and don't say anything," said Killion, referring to a fellow Tea Partier who had been blowing smoke in the counterdemonstrator's face.
Killion said it was his first Tea Party event ever and he was looking forward to hearing Palin speak.
"She tells it like it is," he said.
