We have all seen that Republicans are going to do anything in their power to stop any of the reforms that would attempt to reign in the greed that caused the economic collapse in 2008. Indeed, not one reform has been put into place since then to protect the American taxpayer. To Republicans, it is much more important to protect the runaway greed that produced record profits for their base, the greediest and least patriotic among us.
One very vocal critic of Main St. America and against doing anything to reign in the greed of the bankers is Presidential failure and future hopeful Mitt Romney. With his new book out he has been a mainstay on news shows attacking Democrats and defending Wall St. against all of us. Well, now the DNC is fed up with his antics and have run an ad showing the real Mitt Romney.
Over at the DNC, Brad Woodhouse explained why Romney has become a target:
Brad Woodhouse, a spokesman for the D.N.C., said the organization singled out Mr. Romney because he’s been one of the most frequent critics of the legislation and the president’s economic agenda. Mr. Woodhouse explained the reasoning this way: "Well – for one – he’s been out saying what other Republicans believe but are scared to say – that it’s Main Street families and businesses that are to blame for their bad choices and not the big banks or Wall Street. "He’s also been very active in speaking out against this – and since he purports to be and aspires to be a leader of their party – we’ll highlight his words and let other Republicans embrace or disavow," he added.

I really hope America is listening. Republicans like Mitt Romney and Mitch McConnell think it is your fault the economy crashed because you simply want a shot at the American dream, the middle-class and home ownership. They believe Wall St. is just fine as they reap huge profits, crash the economy, take your money to be bailed out, and keep things just the same so they can rape you all over again.
Bear this in mind as the fight over financial regulations continue. All Republicans can do is fight for the Wall St. bankers and blame you for their failures. In fact, all they can do is say no to anything that reigns in the greed. They do not even have a plan of their own, and even if they did they believe you are not good enough to see it:
Republican aides on the banking committee said they were working to finalize their own version of a financial regulatory bill, but they said it was unclear when, or if, they would release it.

Of course they will not release it. That is because they offer no new vision or nothing that will benefit anyone but the greediest and least patriotic among us. They would much rather keep the system the same because themselves and their buddies on Wall St. can continue their no-risk greed because as long as nothing is done, we will always be there to bail them out from their own idiocy.
