If you are not born of a family with money and great power and you have to work for a living this is the mindset of how we got here. Here meaning the decline of the middle class over the last 10+ years or so, American jobs being shipped over seas, and basically feeling like our tax dollars are not being used for the good of the American people but to line the pockets of those that think nothing of us. Erin Burnett from CNBC in an interview with AFL-CIO President Trumpka had so many "Are you serious" moments that it's unreal. I wish more Dems would fight like Trumpka. Please follow me over the jump.
CNBC's Erin Burnett just put the big old cherry on top of why a lot of us are angry. Go over to the Huffington Post and see the incredible video where she says the following Wall Street Interview
(I couldn't figure out how to embed)
"Yeah, there's no question the collateral damage of their actions was loss of jobs, loss of stock value, and loss of real estate value. But isn't that kind of remote damage in terms of cause and effect? How do you justify holding them responsible for it?"
Wow..I mean wow. I guess us little people down here who maybe lost a job, or a home, or a pension & 401Ks due to the irresponsibility of Wall Street should stop crying because those little things have no bearing on real Americans. I'm guessing they are thinking the sooner we learn this lesson the better. Great job by Trumpka though. I wish I could have gone to the March today as I am one of those mad as hell Americans who want to "Take My Country Back". Not from President Obama but from the Corporatacracy that has taken it over.
As angry as this makes me it also gives me the energy I need to get out here and fight. I may have my gripes with the President but I certainly don't want to turn the keys back over to those who allowed this catastrophe to happen in the first place. Let's get fired up folks and join whatever group we need to to make sure that we hold both the House and the Senate during the Mid-terms. I don't want to go backwards and I don't want the next 2 years to be full of bogus investigations.
UPDATE I: Live Coverage Wall Street Rally
UPDATE II: I think the poll is right (mostly). I've gone to MSNBC & CNN's webpages and I haven't found anything. It's also not on TPM or on the FP of Daily KOS. Interesting......
