UPDATE: All quotes below are derived from actual quotes made by right-wingers during the snow storms in DC in February.
Record highs for early April in our nations capital yesterday and hot weather throughout many parts of the nation have set the nation's climate change advocates into a frenzy.
Al Gore on Tuesday used the 93 degree day to make a political jab, saying that it provides evidence for global warming supporters.
"It's going to keep staying warm in April until Jim DeMint cries "uncle," the former Vice President tweeted on Twitter.
"Where's Mitch McConnell when we need him?" quipped Al Gore who burst out laughing when asked about the prospect of Republicans blocking cap-and-trade legislation Tuesday while the nation was experience this early spring heat wave.
But Gore's biggest attacks were reserved for climate change denier Rush Limbaugh:
"Hot weather in Washington, hot weather in New York...It's just another nail in the coffin for the climate change deniers. On a day like this where is Rush Limbaugh? Where is the media questioning Rush Limbaugh whats going on with this. I mean the IPCC has been vindicated with all of this credibility wise. It doesn't mean the rightist goons have been giving up. But the media hasn't questioned him on this...I find that fascinating.
He also said it was "absurd" that Limbaugh was criticizing Obama for proposing climate change regulation when proof of global warming was all around us."
Al Gore's daughter built an air-conditioned home near the Capital with a sign that says "James Inhofe's new home."
Meanwhile Virginia Democrats Rep. Tom Perriello and Rep. Rick Boucher began running ads against the Virginia GOP. "Tell them how much global warming you get this weekend...Maybe they'll come help you mulch and plant your spring annuals."
One blogger on Dailykos.com had this to say:
"It was 93 degrees, a record high for April, in Washington DC. Here in Macon, Georgia, an area global warming scientists have long predicted would become a desert, it will be 88 degrees today and sunny.
You know what this all means right? Erick Erickson will be calling for a new federal agency to "study and report on the changing climate."
The liberal New York Times reported the following:
The reports of record highs blanketing Washington, D.C. and most of the east coast and midwest, "must send chills up the spines of global warming deniers like the Washington Times, for whom this early spring has been marked by discontent. Those who value the environment should thank Mother Nature for her sense of humor, proving the case for global warming one sunny day at a time. So although we're quite tired of spring cleaning, we say, 'Let's go to Dairy Queen and get a Blizzard.' "
However the biggest surprise of the day was when God Almighty called out Glenn Beck on his radio show. God had this to say:
"Well the sun just keeps shining all throughout the DC area. I believe Glenn Beck is saying, I got your global warming denial right here, eh. You want a piece of Global warming denial."
