I wrote a few days ago if "Democrats were really going to lose in November?" I just cannot believe that the so called Tea Party Phenomenon, I believe its more Phony Right Wing Nutters. The MSM has made the case for this so called movement in order to sell their product, they know the more DRAMA they can create, the more shit they can sell.
Last night on CNN you had Mary Matalin, John King, & Alex Castellanos, supposedly apart of the Best Political Team on TV explaining why the Republican party had a great night...WTF are they smoking?
Paul Begala made a very prescient point that stopped all the non-sensical spin coming from the right side of the room. Begala said that the only race that mattered tonight was the R vs. D in PA-12 and the D's won big!
I have read many diaries today outlining turnout in PA-12 1 million D's vs 800k R's. All of the talk shows network and cable were harping on how all incumbents, especially Democrats since we have more seats, should be worried...WTF?
Andrea Mitchell says the White House should be especially worried because of Specter losing in PA...WTF?
What the President needs to learn is that he should not get involved in picking Democrats vs. Democrats primaries, it's unseemly for the head of the party to be picking one Dem over another, and if you lose it makes you look weak!
Still, Obama's poor record thus far could hurt his legislative agenda if Democratic lawmakers decide they need some distance from him as they seek re-election in what is shaping up as a pro-Republican year. Conversely, it might embolden Republican lawmakers and candidates who oppose him.
"We're licking our chops at running against President Obama," said Rand Paul, tea party candidate and victor in Kentucky's Republican primary for retiring GOP Sen. Jim Bunning's seat. Paul told CNN on Wednesday he'd relish Obama's campaigning on behalf of Democrat Jack Conway. Obama's agenda, Paul said, is "so far to the left, he's not popular in Kentucky."
Obama's track record also raises the question of whether he may be hurting candidates he supports by motivating his foes – such as tea party supporters – to vote. Though this month's AP-GfK Poll shows Americans split about evenly over how he's handling his job, those strongly disapproving outnumber people who strongly back him by 33 percent to 22 percent – not an enviable position for the president's party.
So Mr. President please do not do it again...Its one thing for the grassroots to pick its another thing for the President. So please stay out of the Halter vs Lincoln runoff, jump on the bandwagon of the winner for November.
Jonathan martin and Charles Mahtesian have figured it out over at Politico..."The GOP's Special Failure"
All the evidence pointing to monster Republican House gains this fall—the Scott Brown upset win in Massachusetts, the scary polling numbers in once-safely Democratic districts, the ever-rising number of Democratic seats thought to be in jeopardy—was contradicted Tuesday.
In the only House race that really mattered to both parties—the special election to replace the late Democratic Rep. John Murtha in Pennsylvania’s 12th District—Republicans failed spectacularly, losing on a level playing field where, in this favorable environment, they should have run roughshod over the opposition.

I'm truly disappointed in the absolutely LAZY reporting from Vanderhei and Harris, "Activists Seize Control of Politics". WTF?
The 2010 electorate has swallowed an emetic — disgorging in a series of retching convulsions officeholders in both parties who seem to embody conventional Washington politics.
The anti-establishment, anti-incumbent fevers on display Tuesday are not new. The ideologically charged, grass-roots activists flexing their muscle in this week’s primary showdowns are the same breed as primary voters who four years ago stripped the Democratic nomination away from Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, who later won as an independent.
What’s now clear, in a way that wasn’t before, is that these results reflect a genuine national phenomenon, not simply isolated spasms in response to single issues or local circumstances.

This is BS and a true mis-reading of WTF is going on in American politics. What is really happening is that Conservatives are being punished by their Libertarian brethern and Establishment Democrats who did not support or offered tepid support for the President and Progressive policies are being punished by their party. Lincoln & Specter have very different stories than Grayson and Bennett. This meme from the MSM pundits is wrong and mis-guided.
Robert Creamer has a great piece out today about the eight lessons we should takeaway from last night
This is probably the one that President Obama should heed the most:
Lesson #5. The power of endorsements has big limits -- and sometimes they backfire.
Endorsements in politics are massively overrated. They mostly matter when they are accompanied by money and troops -- as in the case of the Labor backing for Halter against Lincoln in Arkansas. Specter's material support by the Democratic organization in Philadelphia clearly kept him in the game, but even that was not enough.
In fact, in the current anti-insider environment endorsements can be downright damaging. The sum of Specter's endorsements probably did him more harm than good by branding him as the insider, Washington candidate. The same was true of Grayson in Kentucky.
President Obama did what he had to do for Specter. The President had no choice but to back both Specter and Lincoln, since he has desperately needed their support for his initiatives in the Senate. But it is difficult to transfer political loyalty, and especially the personal qualities, that make Obama such an attractive candidate to a guy like Specter.
Democrats, I still believe have more than a good chance of limiting losses in the midterms to less than 20 seats, with a fairly good chance of keeping it at single digits. Like I said in an earlier post, if the Repubs win less than 15 seats, we'll have to be on suicide watch as that party really starts to crack up!
