This number is 36.2 barrels a day, or over 1500 fold lower than the low end estimate made by Scientist Steven Wereley, an associate professor of mechanical engineering at Purdue University, using particle image velocimetry that was commissioned by NPR:

and is even 138 fold lower than the low ball initial government estimates of 5000 barrels a day.
Does a 1500 fold error deserve a correction in today's "journalism"?
