I'm admittedly quite shocked the press actually noticed:
For the past two elections, Rep. Dick Howrigan, D-Fairfield, has leaned toward retiring from the House but eventually made himself a candidate; and he has done it again this year.
Strong speculation swirled on the House floor this year that Howrigan would be among the lawmakers to announce their retirement, which would have left a seat open in his two-person district, which covers St. Albans Town, Fairfield, and Fletcher.
Now, Howrigan is running against Rep. Eileen "Lynn" Dickinson, R-St. Albans Town, and Todd Pritsky, an independent from Fletcher’s Bog Road, who is also making health care reform a priority.
I'll note that as of the last draft candidate list, none of us has submitted our petitions yet, and I'm the only one who's filed a bank/treasurer form...

PS--Yeah, Kossacks, I've given up on direct action for now and am running for office. Feel the Toddmentum! Crazy enough, it just might work...
