Rove got positive news on one of his court cases (not the big one). According to the Washington Post's AP report he will not be prosecutted in Texas for voting illegallly.
The Post also mentions that Bush will campaign in Virginia with Kilgore. More after the flip.
It is good news for Rove but I am sure it was not the biggest issue he was worried about.
On the Kilgore side of things, I don't think it is a good idea to tie yourself to someone who has negative poll ratings in your state. I do not know how to make grey boxes so below is from the Washington Post.
The White House is expected to announce this morning that President Bush will hold a last-minute, election-eve rally for Virginia gubernatorial candidate Jerry W. Kilgore in Richmond, sources in Virginia said.
The Monday night rally, to be held at the Richmond airport, is designed to give Republican Kilgore a final boost in his battle with Democrat Timothy M. Kaine.
However, Bush poll ratings in Virginia are dropping. I guess the positive is that Richmond is in the southern part of the state where Bush is probably doing better than in the suburbs of DC.
Kilgore attended to this last week when he blew off Bush when Bush held an event in Norfolk Virginia.
I guess he is going for a last minute get the base out approach but I think it is a bad idea.
