Hi, rich.
No, not you, doc. Not you, police chief. Not you, woman who kept her husband home to raise the kids so she could put in 90 a week to grow their small private company.
I'm talking to you, Mr Hayward. I'm talking to the ring-around-the-multinationals CEO's. I'm talking to you, hypocrite movie star. Talkin' to you, athlete who requires a taxpayer-subsidized $1 billion stadium just so he'll 'let' the owners pay him $15mil a year.
Get a grip on reality: you need to be careful.
I'm definitely a liberal; I believe in good, secular government, spending on peace before spending on war, equal access and protection for all minority citizens.
And I'm also an Americanist. While flawed, our nation is still the best idea: unity from common values of liberty, freedom, and tolerance, rather than unity through common culture or race. The US can only work as conceived if we all do our best and play the game, BUT UNDERSTAND THAT IF TOO MANY PEOPLE LOSE or DON'T GET TO PLAY, the game is OVER.
Get a grip.Notice how sometimes those high-stakes games you play with the country's capital and money get so wild that EVERYONE, even YOU, loses?
Be careful.
There are some outliers, people who think they should be cared for just because they exist. Most of us, however, want to work, to contribute, to build. Some want a good job, others want access to build, grow compete...and resourceful Americans won't just roll over and take it after long enough.
Get a grip.
Get a grip, because it can all go bad, quickly. Not used to being under a tyrants' thumb or reliant on the nanny-state, I fear the populace will take drastic action if their situation and numbers become drastic enough. I fear that outcome, and you should too. Extreme action ALMOST ALWAYS leads to extreme circumstances in its wake. I fear our country run by a Politboro or anarchist warlords, and you should too.
Be careful.
What can you do? Double employee pay across the board. Volunteer to head governmental agencies to help streamline and make efficient and accountable. Lobby, not for tax breaks, but for tariffs, for our trade partners to open as much as we are, and TO BE RELEASED FROM HAVING TO PAY FOR HEALTHCARE.
Get a grip. You're playing a dangerous game. This diary is no more a threat than telling you not to drive over a cliff is a threat.
What'll it be? $5mil and a happy, strong, dont-care-about-your-yacht-race middle class? Or $20mil andthe 'small people' with torches/pitchforks at your front door?
Be careful.
