As the U.S. Senator best known as the client of a prostitute and an enabler of domestic violence, why shouldn't David Vitter (R-LA) add lunatic conspiracy theorist to his resume?
Republican Sen. David Vitter of Louisiana says he supports conservative organizations challenging President Barack Obama's citizenship in court.
... Vitter responded that although he doesn't personally have legal standing to bring litigation, he supports "conservative legal organizations and others who would bring that to court," according to a video of the event.
"I think that is the valid and most possibly effective grounds to do it," Vitter said ...
Vitter said at Sunday's event that the only direct information he has about the issue is what he's learned through the news media "filter."
That would the "filter" that has hidden the truth by publishing copies of the President's birth certificate and the birth announcements made in local papers in 1961.
And it's not clear why Vitter doesn't think he has legal standing to go to court. After all, he has as much of a right as any other tin-foil clad racist to file a lawsuit.
