As a result of the comments in the currently rec listed diary by CynthiaGee, I was inspired to act.
I've created a Google map where folks can add places in their neighborhoods where FOX is shown and where they've had success in getting it turned off. Anyone can contribute as long as they have a Google account.
I'm not quite tech savvy enough to fix the embed code, but you can just follow this link to get started:
Turn Off FOX! - Interactive Google Map
Please be sure to add the status of your efforts so we don't duplicate efforts or harrass those who've already changed the channel.
I've already sent a link to Color of Change so they can add it to their toolbox. It may take them a day or two to wade through all their e-mail before they even see mine. That doesn't mean you have to wait for them to make it available on their site.
The map is fully interactive and you can add locations for your neighborhood.
I'm also still looking for someone to verify they've had success so we can encourage a positive reaction to our requests to Turn Off FOX!
Oh, and be sure to add your name to the Color of Change list so you can receive updates on the progress being made.

UPDATE: I've used an erupting volcano icon for locations still airing FOX. There's a TV icon that would be great for FOX-free businesses, and certainot has suggested we include local radio stations in the mix, w/links to sponsor contact info. I'm sure we can pick an appropriate icon for those, too.
