I suggest everyone watch it if there's a rerun. John O'Neill of the SwiftBoat Liars was on, Lanny Davis, and of course Carville and Novak.
The two choicest moments: Carville and Novak attacked one another, and pretty viciously too.
Novak: "That was the most disgusting display in the history of Crossfire" referring to Carville's public undressing of O'Neill.
Carville shouting that Novak doesn't even have the decency to address his own guests. The show is called Crossfire, Bob! as Novak started asking O'Neill questions (nice fat lobs) instead of Lanny Davis. Novak seemed to lose himself and he didn't know what to do when he realized he had departed from the format.
O'Neill, of course, was caught lying numerous times. Carville: "The Kerry people claim you never even met or knew Kerry in Vietnam. Are they telling the truth?" O'Neill: "They are lying. I met John Kerry in 1971."
Novak breaks in and says Carville doesn't want to hear the truth.
10 minutes go by, and Carville tries again: "Did you meet Kerry in Vietnam, yes or no? Don't pitch your book again."
O'Neill: [evades the question] "I took over John Kerry's Swift boat after he left Vietnam after 3 months."
Carville: "Yes or no, did you ever meet Kerry in Vietnam?"
O'Neill: "No...but.but.but..."
[Audience Laughs]
[Carville spins around in his chair, and shows the panel his back, throws up his hands in the air, sits there like that for 5 minutes, while Novak harangues him for lack of manners]
O'Neill later lied again when he said he hadn't been active in politics nor Republican circles in 30 years, contrary to the political contributions he made which were listed on a Kos Diary yesterday.
