Literally, a chicken gets choked and Karl Rove slings mud.
GOP derailed by the Tea Party Express
An insurgency lead by Tea Party candidates is causing discord within the Republican Party. Led by Sarah Palin, Tea Party candidates have scored several victories over establishment Republican candidates. Christine O'Donnell in Delaware is the latest Tea Party victor. Some compare O'Donnell to Sarah Palin because the two share a folksy charm and conservative positions.
Prior to her election victor, O'Donnell was primarily known for her efforts and views on abstinence education. Her defeat of establishment candidate Mike Castle came as a surprise to Republican strategist Karl Rove. Rove had repeatedly attacked O'Donnell's character and called her nutty.
The Democrats are happy about the infighting. But could the Tea Party take them by surprise as well?
