The Fok News DKOS Group publishes content and opinion related to Keith Olbermann's upcoming television news show and his opinion blog Fok News.
Yesterday Keith announced that Markos would be joining Countdown as a regular contributor.
We’ve announced the first five contributors who you’ll see often when Countdown premieres on June 20: Michael Moore, Ken Burns, Markos Moulitsas of Daily Kos, Nicole Lamoureux of The National Association of Free Clinics, and the one and only Richard Lewis, my friend of 20+ years.
I think they all touched on it, but to be clear: these are just the first five names – and they’re not even all the big names, who are already committed to Countdown, and who we’ll be announcing in the less-than-six weeks before premiere night. It’s a helluva roster, if I must say so myself.
It is fun to speculate on the big name contributors yet to be announced and.....
what suggestions do you have?
My suggestion: Bernie Sanders is a regular on the Thom Hartmann radio show. He would be great, but is probably over booked.
I'd love to see the wit of Anthony Wiener and Keith joined together in political outrage mode.
I'd also like a strong dose of environmental politics and information. Al Gore world do a great regular segment on the health of the planet.
Education is critical- Johnathan Kozol or some other prominent socially progressive educator would be great.
Kozol has founded and is running a non-profit called Cambridge Institute for Public Education. The group is dedicated to grassroots organizing of teachers across the country who wish to push back against NCLB and the most recent Supreme Court decision on desegregation, and to help create an equitable and enlightened model of public education for a democratic nation.
Economic insiders like Elizabeth Warren and Wendell Potter to keep them honest.
Since the commentators are not all strictly political, I'll throw in Wanda Sykes.
Who would be on your list?
