This is a rant. There will not be any insightful commentary, no witty turn of phrase. This will be totally undeserving of being published as a diary and I know that whatever I say will vanish as a wisp of 1's and 0's into the blogosphere. But I must rant and thank you for following me after the orange curlicue.
Why aren't we in D.C.? For all the mud that has been slung around here lately, I would have thought that somebody--anybody--would show up in D.C. However, as I said before, liberals may be angry, but they are not angry enough to change the narrative. Someone said that the media is in control of the narrative. Other folks said that folks got sh*t to do (which I respect, but..)
Then I saw this at TPM. WTF! Tea Party Express got some high profile Tea baggers and the press outnumbered the TPs??? See right here we can change the narrative. We can call the media and say "Hey, Tea Party Rally, not so much. Maybe you guys and the congress critters give them too much attention and ascribe to them too much power".
But the press has nothing to compare it to. Couldn't we--can't we get 10,000 folks--in D.C.
Yet again, we cede to conservatives, who at least have the COURAGE of their convictions. What we have here is a bunch of lipservice liberals, satisfied to throw spitballs from the sidelines. Now I'm disappointed.
