How Christine O'Donnell and (hopefully) Sarah Palin are the gifts that keep on giving.
David Frum's analysis of the Delaware Senate Race is great!
One can only hope that Palin does as much for the GOP in 2012! Hopefully the down ticket suffers because of the crazy at the top.
If you are looking for fine commentary and great dissection of the analysis- I don't have it- but I think that Frum is on to something. The Tea Party can bring down the Republican/Conservative majorities- barring major stupidity on the part of the American people. But let's remember that Christine received approximately one-third of the vote. On a lower turnout election with a lower profile candidate- that could be a win.
Frum's point is that Christine energized the Democratic base who didn't want her. It might be argued that her presence energized the independents and Republicans who thought she WAS a witch.
It's hard for a Congress, any Congress to distinguish itself through legislative work. By nature, it's cooperative work, and the blame and honors are shared. With Obama and the Democrats picking up on House stupidities, it might be possible to demonize the current Republican Congress and pundits.
