My daughter has come home from the hospital.
She seems to be better and happier, and a little more like her old self. The social worker is supposed to call me today to tell me where she will need to go for follow-up therapy. I am a little concerned that it may be too soon for her to have been released, but her doctor said that she was no longer a danger to herself or others and that she is responding well to her medication (she is on Celexa). He also said that, because she was there because she wanted help and was co-operating fully, there was no need for her to remain. She will need to continue with the medication and with follow-up therapy, but things are looking up.
I just wanted to let everyone know and to thank everyone for their concern and support.
