More below the fold:
Exhausted from working nights so I'm gonna cut-and-paste this like Scott Brown's website. Like I don't do that normally anyway.
At any rate, here's a raiding report from Team Kaels:
After a couple weeks of messing about, missing people for various nights, and skipping raids, Team Kaels is back to progressing on firelands heroics. We killed Heroic Shannox last night after adjusting pretty much everything we do in this fight. We changed the room we fight him in (Baleroc’s chamber), I changed when I kite him and how far, we changed the pattern of dps on Rageface, and when we killed him, we changed our attitude about heroic Firelands bosses. Now that it’s done, I can say it was fun. Aside from pulling the trash that one time; bad paladin.
We got very close on heroic Rhyolith, too. I suspect we could have pushed him that one time when I absentmindedly kited the Spark out of healing range. His nights are numbered, however.
Team Snuffy is now 5/7 on Firelands raiding, but still has a bit of roster instability. Someone on Team Snuff should elaborate on what they've been doing.
On Sunday night we had a fun tier 11 run into BWD; we cajoled, threatened and ninja invited people and stomped over Magmaw, Omnomnom, Maloriak and Atramedes with very little trouble. We brought in a nice mixture of longtime guildies and enthusiastic new folks, including one person who hadn’t raided since BC and another who had never set foot in a raid instance. And I even healed, which was a terrifying prospect. I’m sure Pamena beat me on every possible measurement, but since I uninstalled recount for that character I remain blissfully unaware.
Let's hear from Team Snuffy next:
Team Snuffy raid report: As Glynnda noted, we are 5 of 7 in Firelands as of last Friday. We had done Shannox and Bethilac on the previous Tuesday, but Friday Snuff couldn't be there (something about Canadian Thanksgiving, like who can believe THAT!), so we had a new team makeup, including Azucarino on his alt Cocido directing the action in Snuff's absence, with Ashhorn hanging in vent with us giving special advice to our new tanks (after Thanael graciously agreed to go dps for that night). We just blitzed thru Rhyolith, Alysrazor and Baeleroc Friday night with very few wipes. Alas, this past Tuesday, we were short a few regulars who couldn't make it, and possibly our raid composition was not ideal (Blizz, why do you hate melee dps so, whyyyyyy?), but we still managed to do Baradin Hold and then Shannox. We will sally forth again Friday night and see how it goes.
And here's our Fearless Guild Leader Dkosmama with our latest membership report:
Guild Membership update: As everyone knows, after the Wow Insider article, we've been flooded of new applicants. I think we're up to 44 that we've approved and few that we rejected. Overall, guild membership is now at 911. I know that's getting close to the membership cap, but please do not worry and start taking alts out of the guild. I'll let folks know when and if we need to do that. Right now we still have plenty of room, as Glynnda says. And even when we do get close to the cap, we'll manage.
We've restarted the introduction section on the new guild website, so if you haven't already, please take a minute to post an introduction in the guild forums so that the new folks know who everyone is. There's also a census thread asking for some demographic information.
Mama edit: Make that 912, thanks to our newest member, Steebeth!
