As the redistricting commission in Idaho has agreed to a legislative map I've drawn both the existing map and the new map in DRA to see what effect the changes will have on the composition of the state legislature.
Note that in Idaho each legislative district elects a single senator and two representatives; therefore there is only one legislative map. There are 35 legislative districts in Idaho and with three legislative members from each district (1 senator, 2 representatives) there are a total of 105 members of the Idaho State Legislature. Currently 20 of these are Democrats (the remainder Republicans) from 9 distinct legislative districts. Of the seven most democratic districts in the state (49.5% Obama or more) 18 of the 21 representatives are Democrats. Conversely, of the 28 most Republican districts 82 of the 84 representatives are Republican. There seems to be a fairly clear divide for predicting which districts will elect members of which party.

Of the seven districts that elect almost all of the current Democratic delegation five have been weakened and only the super Democratic 19th could really afford that. However the increase in strength in the other two districts will be appreciated. Both of the Democrats in heavily Republican districts have been further weakened. No district with an Obama percentage in the forties has been moved in the Democratic direction so any future pickups will have to be in very Republican districts.
