Gadhafi - killer of an airplane full of people traveling home for the holidays, over Lockerbie Scotland. Ruthless dictator. A man who, as far as we can tell from the video of his final moments alive, was yelling "Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!" Just sort of wondering how long it will take for one of our own homegrown racist, Islamic fanatic, Louis Farrakhan to issue a statement painting Gadhafi out to be a victim and even a martyr.
ALL forms of tyranny are unacceptable, whether they come from Pentagon, Wall Street or fanatical religious leaders. Things are heating up. I sincerely hope this movement that is sweeping the world, when it takes the form of #OccupyWallStreet will remain nonviolent, but also not fall victim to political correctness. From what I can tell, it seems that informally the Nation of Islam (an American political/religious movement lead by Farrakhan) has made some attempts to get involved with the #OccupyWallStreet movement. For what it's worth, I feel very strongly that we should not welcome this kind of "support" as that organizations leadership is psychotic and flies in the face of everything we are trying to accomplish.
Farrakhan is a dangerous mix of violence, racism, profound ignorance and charisma that it would be foolish, in times like these, not to pay close attention to how he may attempt to wiggle his way into the #OccupyWallStreet movement.
THIS VIDEO SHOWS FARRAKHAN CALLING WHITES DEVILS WHO MUST BE KILLED
"A leading example of a black separatist group is the Nation of Islam led by Louis Farrakhan. In 1997, and in less explicit ways since then, Farrakhan made clear that he had renounced none of the anti-white, anti-Semitic, anti-Catholic and anti-gay views of the previous Nation leader, Elijah Mohammed. Those beliefs include the view that Yacub, a renegade black "scientist," created whites 6,600 years ago as an inherently evil and ungodly people — "blue-eyed devils." Farrakhan has described Catholics and Jews, who he said practice a "gutter religion," as preying on blacks. He regrets the "tone" of a former principal subordinate who called for slaughtering white South Africans, but agreed with the message. He called for racial separatism and inveighed against interracial relationships."
