I've been reading letters like this one from whiny Americans posted on The 53.
The letters are following a pretty standard format. You can save yourself time and just read the following summary:
1. In my early years, I…
a. came from a poor country
b. had poor parents who had to work insane hours to keep me fed
c. worked for fiendishly small wages from a very young age
2. For my education, I…
a. Attended public high school at the expense of the American taxpayer
b. Attended a public university and continued to gorge myself on state and federal tax money.
3. These days I…
a. Take pride in the fact that I have no outstanding school loans, conveniently forgetting that other Americans paid for my education.
b. Have no real understanding of what it means to experience poverty because the American taxpayer provided a nice cushion that has enabled my current lifestyle.
4. I look down on the OWS protestors because I…
a. Resent anyone who dares to seek government benefits as I have done, especially now that my days at the trough are over and I have to pay taxes to cover the expense of educating these freeloading schoolchildren. Abolish the Department of Education!
b. Believe everything I see on Fox News.
c. Stubbornly believe in the fantasy that everyone gets what they deserve, even though the income of the top 1% of Americans has tripled over the past three decades while the incomes of every other group of Americans (including my own) have declined.
5. I shall summarize my resentment of others by piously stating in all caps,
I AM THE 53%
