Well this is good to hear. It looks like the Minneapolis Police Department and Hennepin County Sheriffs Department in my state will be trying to wash off the stink of that $100,000 judgement they received last week due to the way they handled journalists and protesters at the 2008 RNC convention. It seems that we may get to peacefully excersise our 1st amendment rights this upcoming weekend . I guess only time will tell though.
I'll be posting updates from the Hennepin County Government building in downtown Minneapolis all weekend. The occupation starts

Fri Oct 07, 2011 at 2:23 PM PT: Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office laid down some ground rules:
While sleeping on the plaza will be permitted, no tents or canopies will be allowed.
Alcohol and drugs will be barred from the plaza and campfires and barbecues will be prohibited.
Portable toilets will be made available on nearby sidewalks, bike racks will be provided, but the no-smoking policy on the plaza will stay in place. People will be able to smoke on the sidewalk.
