There are some words that describe Elizabeth Warren in a nutshell: Courageous. Tough. Determined. Also: beautiful. Elegant. Classy.
Scott Brown is none of these, and he proves it over and over again, whether he's refusing to ally with bullied schoolchildren or supporting the expulsion of rape victims from hospital emergency rooms.
And then there's this:
"Have you officially responded to Elizabeth Warren’s comment about how she didn’t take her clothes off?" the host asked Brown Wednesday.
"Thank God!" Brown said, laughing.
The host got a kick out it, too. "That’s what I said! I said, 'Look, can you blame a good-looking guy for wanting to, you know…”
Smooth move, Ferguson. Insult the 50% of Massachusetts that is female and does not wish their bodies to be denigrated by middle-aged men who still think they're in their private college's frat house. Oh yeah, that's another thing:
"You know what, listen: Bottom line is, you know, I didn’t go to Harvard, you know, I went to the school of hard knocks, and I did whatever I had to do to pay for school," Brown cut in.
...
Warren did not go to Harvard either, as Brown seemed to imply. She graduated from the University of Houston, a public school, though she spent her first two years at the private George Washington University on a debate scholarship. She later attended law school at Rutgers, a public university in New Jersey. Brown graduated from Tufts University and Boston College Law School.
I don't know tuition rates these schools charged, historically. Today, however, the University of Houston clocks in $9,211 a year while Tufts University charges a whopping $41,998. Did not go to Harvard, indeed. Scott Brown thinks his constituents are so stupid they won't realize there are other highly expensive private colleges in this country. He probably also believes that his constituents are all middle-aged white men, like him. He must be confusing the voters of Massachusetts with his Wall Street donors. In the real world, the electorate is made up of more than rich white guys and their oversized bank accounts. Some of those voters are women and their loved ones, and none of them like their bodies to be the subject of immature jokes between pathetic old men. In the real world, people are smart enough to know that what's under the pantsuit isn't as important as what's between your ears.
Notice to Scott Brown: the rules of the game have changed. You don't get to make fun of the "little ladies" anymore for daring to reform America. Your looks and your dick only take you so far, so keep your repulsive, anti-woman comments, your privilege, your ego and your nonsensical delusions to yourself.
