The Daily Caller has one investor listed. Uber Conservative Rich Guy, Foster Friess. The DC and Fox are spreading a BS story about OccupyDC.
Ok, Kossacks, we have to set the record straight. Tweet, facebook, send to your conservative friends. We are the Counter BS Brigade.
Well, along the lines of an Andrew Briebart, The Daily Caller released a story saying it had "discovered" paid protesters. Yawning....... Same old BS, different day. It was a conservative think tank operation all the way, of course. Slimy tactics.
However, it does deserve exposure and sunlight, and we might all turn to pillars of salt before, or even if, the mainstream media call this out in response to what we can guess will become
FOX NEWS' STORY OF THE WEEK. Oh, suprise, look,
On this morning's Fox & Friends, Doocy again went on the attack, attempting to discredit the protesters by hyping a Daily Caller story which claimed "Organizer admits to paying 'Occupy DC protesters.' "Doocy seized on the story, leading off the show by excitedly proclaiming "scandal"
Thank you Newscorpwatch.org for catching this DC Faux Report.
The Daily Caller story below
Doocy teased the story by calling it "the scandal you got to hear to believe."
Really? Here's the "evidence" that, quite frankly, couldn't sound more contrived
One group of about ten Hispanic protesters marched behind a Caucasian individual from the DC Tenants Advocacy Coalition, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting rent control in Washington, D.C.
Asked why they were there, some Hispanic protesters holding up English protest signs could not articulate what their signs said.
Interviewed in Spanish, the protesters told conflicting stories about how their group was organized. Some said it was organized at their church, and that they were there as volunteers. Others, however, referred to the man from the DC Tenants Advocacy Coalition -- the only Caucasian in the group -- as their "boss."
TheDC asked that organizer whether he was paying the group to attend the protest, and he conceded that some protesters "aren't" volunteers.
The NewsCorp articles concludes, and we can agree
To summarize, a few members of a ten person group may or may not be "volunteers." They never said they were being paid, and the so-called "organizer" never said he was paying them. Even if true, it's bad form, to be sure, but by no means a "scandal," and reveals absolutely nothing about the dedication and motives of the thousands of other people currently engaged in nationwide protests. Of course, that won't stop Doocy from gloating over his manufactured "scandal" or the Daily Caller from pretending they've found a story worth promoting.
And, seriously, out the crowd of hundreds, the DC Caller just happened to find and interview this small group.
Journalism CRAZY Award
You know what I think? I think those who have been hoodwinked by the Tea Party will slowing join the Occupy Movement. Why? Because they, too, are losing jobs, homes, education for their children, health care, and any semblence of a sense of economic security.
Oddly, all of a sudden news shows are filled with the faces and stories of real people suffering in America. Now, I don't watch that much TV, but the little I have watched has been filled with these stories. NYC Blue Bloods had an excop hold up a bank to pay for a heart transplant for his daugher, for instance. Maybe the MMedia is
