The curious case of The Herman Cain PAC that wasn't, the false-front website 'HermanCainPAC.com' and the broken donate button pointing back to the - then - nonexistent 'HermanCanPAC.com' just got curiouser.
Today, somebody registered HermanCanPAC.com ..... and redirected it to point to donate.barackobama.com
Backstory:
A rec-list diary yesterday purported to quote the supposed 'Herman Cain PAC' as calling a lady a very nasty name.
DKOS users debunked the story quickly. Among the most important evidence:
And the "donate" button... (10+ / 0-)
...just links back to "hermancainpac.com", except they spelled it "hermancanpac.com", so it actually goes nowhere.

The 'Donate' link is a dead link, (4+ / 0-)
which indicates that the whole site is phony. Even the crummiest PACs accept donations and have a working 'Donate' function.
When you click 'Donate' it attempts to go to a site called Hermancanpac.com, which takes the 'I' out of 'CAIN'. There is no 'I' in 'Team', but there is of course an 'I' in 'Cain'.
