I truly believe that feet on the ground activism is better than clicktivism any day. But when the less diehard among us go back into our homes during the winter time, we can still keep the occupation going. Already we have "move your money" Mondays, why not Memebomb Mondays as well?
I have grown so tired of the haters on my newsfeed saying things like "These people went to college for degrees like bush pruning! Why should we help them out for their dumb choices?" And "I'm going to move to another state and I've gone 2 days without eating but you know what? I'm gonna suck it up and make something of myself! If the occupiers just had this attitude, they wouldn't be on the street!" So I thought that the only way to counter this bullshit is through a coordinated dropping of memebombs. Now this isn't necessarily a new thing, MoveOn posts cool little pictures with bumper sticker-esque slogans all the time. I think they help, but at the same time, we need more of them. Here's one I made:

It was none other than my conservative mom who inspired me to do this. Complaining about how the occupiers are costing NYC "too much money" and to that I replied "Hey, what does that popular bumper sticker say? Oh yea, Freedom isn't free!" Then she said "why do they have to be there, why can't they just go online and spread their message." I've always been wanting to do stuff like this, but after seeing all the events, you really can't help but be active, even if your activism is just clicktivism.
