It's been a dreary couple of years of elections for the good guys, but last night we finally had a
really good night.
Union-busting? No thanks.
Voter suppression? No thanks.
Define birth control as murder? No thanks.
Turn the Iowa State Senate over to the GOP? No thanks.
Recall Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce, the Republican author of his state's "paper's please" law? You betcha'.
So voters across the country rejected the Republican Party's right-wing extremism, from Arizona to Maine, from Ohio to Mississippi. The electorate made it clear that they don't want what the Republicans are selling. And as long as Democrats are paying attention to what the voters are saying—and don't make the mistake of trying to be weak imitations of what voters don't want—last night proves that 2012 could be a very good year for our side.
