- In protest of tuition hikes, more than 1,000 students at Berkeley are attempting to set up an on-campus encampment called Occupy Cal. Police are moving in on the students and arrests have been made. For more on this story as it develops, Daily Cal is liveblogging.
- Students in London also joined with their local Occupy movement to protest tuition hikes and the privatization of the higher education system in the UK. Trafalgor Square was briefly occupied with tents before an enormous police force made arrests and dispersed the encampment.
- Occupy Wall Street has succeeded in getting polling firms to start asking Americans about wealth inequality for the first time. It turns out Americans think it is a big problem, getting worse, and that the government should pursue policies to reverse it.
- Occupy Wall Street will be running ads on The O'Reilly Factor tonight. There is also now a push to run two new television ads. Here is the first one, called "Occupy Poetry":
