Mitt Romney's latest line of attack against Newt Gingrich is to go after Gingrich for sitting on a couch next to Nancy Pelosi and saying "we do agree, our country must take action to address climate change":
For the record, Newt Gingrich has already flip-flopped on the video, which was recorded in 2008,
calling it "the single dumbest thing I've done in years."
Mitt Romney, however, was taking the exact same position as Gingrich as recently as June of this year, saying "it's important for us to reduce our emission of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may well be significant contributors to the climate change and the global warming that you're seeing." Of course, like Gingrich, Romney has also flip-flopped, saying "the idea of spending trillions and trillions of dollars to try and reduce CO2 emissions is not the right course for us:"
I'll give Mitt Romney credit for this: by bringing so much attention to issues on which both he and Gingrich have flip-flopped, he's doing an outstanding job of making the case for why
neither of them should be elected president.
