Could Obama better his chances for relection with Hillary as his running mate for the Vice President? It seems he may need that help if Romney selects a conservative woman as a VP. If Joe Biden agrees to become the Secretary Of States it could be a winning formula for Obama and the Democrats.
A case can be made for Hillary for Vice President. Obama will need help in 2012 and Hillary may bring in more votes than Biden. Many women who are dissatisfied or are not enthusiastic about Obama will come back in large numbers if Hillary is the running mate. It is quite possible she will attract many independents who may be reluctant to vote for Obama.
Hillary has a done a great job as the Secretary of States. That job with continuous turmoil around the world requires hard work and tiring travel schedule. Hillary needs a rest and Vice President's job is ideal for her to take it easy and prepare for 2016. If Obama loses she would be ideally placed to get Democratic nomination in 2016. Joe Biden has a lot of interest and experience in the foreign policy matters so he may be convinced to take Hillary's job. He is smart enough to know Hillary will be very helpful. So a personal sacrifice for the party and the country may be additional incentive for him.
Mitt Romney will probably be the Republican nominee. He will want a Southern, Christian, and preferably a woman running mate. Nikki Haley, who is also a minority, could be one of them. Although how much she could help is debatable, she can provide some tea party support also. Anyway, no matter who is Romney's running mate Hillary would be a great asset to Obama's reelection.
If this has to happen, the arrangement can't be made public until Obama gives his acceptance speech.
