2/11/2011: US House of Representative, Hal Rogers (R-Ky) submitted his "Hoover-esqe Eliminate the Middle Class & Starve the Poor Bill"
When reading the below listed highlights of the Bill, remember, Congress gives BILLIONS & BILLIONS (approx. $92 BILLION) of Taxpayer dollars ANNUALLY Bailing Out Big Corporations like: Big Oil, Big Pharam Big Halleeburton -yet- GOP proposed NO CUTS in their Annual Bailout.
Hightlights of GOP "Hoover-esqe Eliminate the Middle Class & Starve the Poor Bill"
-- The largest percentage in cuts are to WIC, which provides nutritional support for women and infants whose income is 185% BELOW Poverty , CUT by $747 million,
-- CUTS in Maternal and Child Health which give women, children access to health care -- CUT $210 Million

-- Cuts 43% in Border Security Fencing (how about that Teabaggers!)
-- Blocks the spending of about $2 billion in unused economic stimulus money

-- Cuts financing EPA by 30%
-- Blocks EPA from implementing new emissions regulations,
-- Blocks EPA from measuring air pollution expelled from factories
-- Eliminates ALL spending on Public Broadcasting (but not Bailouts to Big Oil)
-- Forces Nuclear Regulatory Commission to DUMP Nuclear Waste at Yucca Mountain.
-- Cut fund state and local Police efforts -- CUT $600 Million
-- Cuts State and Local Law Enforcement Assistance - which fund police equipment &training, CUT $256 Million
-- INCREASE Defense funding $7.6 BILLION.
-- NO CUTS in the Billions & Billions spent on Annual Corporate Bailout (aka subsidies)
Should Congress CUT Corporate Welfare or CUT Welfare that help the poor dig out of poverty?
For decades Corporations have gotten BILLIONS & BILLIONS of Taxpayer money to ..... keep .... profits up?
Annual Corporate Bailouts (aka subsidies) for Big Oil, Big Pharma, Big Haliburton, Big KBR, Big Xe etc.
1995: From CATO (Libertarian think tank) "in fiscal year 1995, more than $85 Billion of the Taxpayers' money was spent on 125 programs that [BAILOUT] subsidize private businesses"
CATO & Heritage Foundation (Frightwinged blog) say "the $85 Billion dollar amount has been growing substantially in recent years."
From CATO & Heritage: Almost every spending program in the Defense Department, Department of Agriculture and the Department of Commerce, underwrites [BAILOUT] private businesses.
2006: CATO reported that in 2006 the Annual Corporate Bailout (subsidies) cost American Taxpayers $92 BILLION
CATO reports that "Supporters of Corporate Welfare programs often justify them as remedying some sort of market failure." ... hmmm .... I thought the Teabagging GOPers keep saying "end the nanny state" and "Free Market can take care of itself" and "Unemployed & Poor are lazy" and "I don't want my taxes bailing out the poor"
So much for that "Free Market takes care of itself" Bullsh1t.
CATO also writes that "By aiding some businesses, Corporate Bailouts (subsidies) put other businesses without political connections at an unfair disadvantage.
Corporations that get Annual Corporate Bailout Welfare are the same Corporations send US jobs to overseas sweatshop labor.
Ok, here's the deal, the GOP in the House want to cut BILLIONS in services that help feed the poor, help the poor get medical assistance, help keep cops on the street, helps keep our air & water clean, helps educate our youth ... while at the SAME TIME .... continuing to give Big Oil, Big Pharma, Big Halleeeburton Annual Corporate Bailouts.
Enough is enough. It is time to take action!
ACTION NEEDED: -- STOP allowing Congress to call the Billions & Billions they BAILOUT Big Oil, Big Pharma, Big Halleeeburton with annually - "subsidies."
- Frank Luntz likes the word "subsidies" because the REAL word "Bailout" is not so appealing to voters. In fact, many voters, don't even know what the word "subsidy" means.
- Write Congress, Tweet, write blogs, write Diaries, write on Facebook and expose the, at least, $92 Billion of Taxpayer money goes to Annual Corporate Bailouts to Big Oil, Big Pharma, Big Halleeeburton et al.
- Write Congress, Tweet, write blogs, write Diaries, write on Facebook and demand Congress make cuts in the $92 Billion Annual Corporate Bailout Welfare - BEFORE - they make cuts in food for the poor, health needs for the poor, police, education, safe water & clean air.
Remember, cuts in WIC will force people off of the program. Cuts in Maternal and Child Health will force people off of the program.
Oh, and before I forget, how about that GOP Rogers cutting 43% in Border Security Fencing - that just makes me laugh at those Teabaggers ... I suppose the Teabaggers had no idea the GOP don't really give ONE DAMN about stopping influx of those illegal immigrants they love to fearmonger about.
