Everyone who requested has been sent an invitation, and I think you all have aacepted. You are "contributors", and allowed to post diaires to the group queue. I made LoE "editor" to begin with to see what that lets her do. I believe she can now schedule items in the queue for publication, which should now happen as soon as she or I notice something is in the Queue. If you do post something timely and want it released right away, email me or her to jog us.
We'll see how that works and adjust as seems necessary.
In my New Mexico world, water seems to play a big role. I already serve as President of a small village coop for domestic water distribution, and I am now being considered for service on the Commission of our village acequia system, or the majordomo position if I really want it.
I am reading books like "High and Dry", (h/t Miep) about the long history of the struggle between New Mexico and Texas over the waters of the Pecos River, which happens to border my pasture. There's also Michie's on NM Water Law, and an "Acequia Governance Handbook", from the NM Acequia Association. I talk with helpful State bureaucrats about water rights, adjudication of same, and various ways the State tries to help traditional rural agricultural villages survive, if not actually thrive, and other related topics.
I was the majordomo of the acequia of the village of Ojo Sarco in 1977 and 78.
