Howdy, Kossacks (and unregistered lurkers in intertubeland).
This here is nothing more than a quick introduction to a new group I created.
It's called National Parks and Wildlife Refuges, or NPAWR for short.
Riggs Spring Loop, Bryce Canyon National Park
What is NPAWR?
NPAWR is:
A group of, by, and for Kossacks who will share pictures of and stories, experiences, and information about their visits to National Parks and Wildlife Refuges. The idea is to take readers on a "virtual tour" of the NPs and NWRs, with the goal of encouraging others to get out there and visit them in person. But for now, all you need to do is hop in and come along for the ride.
And a beautiful ride I hope we will give you as a reader.
At the start here, it might be a little slow going. My intentions are to do at least one diary a week of my own for the group. Truth be told: the idea originated back in DK3 with a diary series I contemplated called "Meet the Nation". Despite the name play on the Sunday Shows (Meet the Press and Face the Nation), it was meant to be an every Sunday break from the rough and tumble of our politics. A way to kick back, relax, and "Meet the Nation" by way of a "virtual tour" of its National Parks and Wildlife Refuges.
Somehow, I just never got around to it.
That diary series idea is still the base foundation for the group. And I will strive to make that every Sunday contribution. But the hope is for it to grow into something much more than that. Of course, other diaries in the same mode will be republished here as well.
To that end...
I thank Land of Enchantment for offering to provide some assistance by way of Editor.
If anyone else is so inclined or interested, please let me know either by way of comment or message.
Thanks for stopping through. I look forward to all the group will offer. I hope you do too.
I'll see you at the bottom.
