Extraordinary, world changing events are unfolding across northern Africa and the Mid-East. People are dying as they struggle to reclaim dignity and a measure of personal and economic freedom from those, including the US, who have placed wealth and control of resources above the peoples of the world.
It is spreading to Iraq. China is cracking down on foreign reporters, beating and arresting them as they try to show the world the depth and width of the Human Revolution we are witnessing.
Here in America I have not heard one single report on the Democratic Senate walk out in Wisconsin that was not "Fair and Balanced".
And yet, CNN, MSNBC, and FOX News continue to try and convince me that the whole world is hanging, breathlessly on the ravings of a drug addled entertainer, who shoots off his mouth.
May I say, LOUDLY, I do not care about Charlie Sheen. I do not care if his series is canceled. I do not care if his head explodes in anger or his self-delusions result in the end of his career.
I do not care if Christine McDonnell will, or will not, appear on "Dancing with the Stars". I do not care if half of the dim-witted citizens of the United States find this program to be, "thrilling", "exciting", or, to quote one enthralled viewer, "The most important show on TV".
The world is experiencing an upheaval. The world is undergoing transformation. And, the failure of the US media to devote 24/7 to the actions on the ground, an explanation of the underlying dynamics, the history of the regions in play, and the meaning of this explosion to the future of life on the planet, is a criminal failure, worthy of prosecution.
Shame on every producer who, with a repressed pedophilia, selects large eyed, high pitched, little girl voiced, prepubescents of both sexes, appearing as news "anchors". They perpetuate the insidious selling of American Democracy to child like ignorance and a disregard for the monumental events surrounding us. They reinforce the trivial, meaningless focus on the totally irrelevant. They allow the "media" to ignore the serious, earthshaking events that are occurring in a flurry of intensity that need not be addressed by the children of the media.
