CNN poll 3/11-13/2011
We've known the tea party only attracts conservatives. Okay, and maybe a few Republicans. After all, they ARE Republicans. Outside of that, no one likes them. Urban, rural, midwest or south, makes no difference, the numbers are similar: favorable view is in the low 30's.
Does this have implications for the upcoming budget battle? Is the Pope Catholic?
In any case, this is the lowest favorable number and highest unfavorable number since CNN started polling the tea party.
For a different look, subtract the unfavs from the favs:
Interestingly, what's being reported is that the biggest tea party ratings drop was with the <$50K salary group. Currently, that group shows a -13 in fav minus unfav for tea party, and also show a -9 with Republicans, 0 for Democrats (in other words, favs equal unfavs.)
Government shutdown, anyone? Oh, wait...
But will it change media coverage of an unpopular radical Republican fringe? Don't hold your breath.
