We have seen a lot of energy put into Anonymous leaking emails that show the Bank of America using "social proof" to alter real public opinion. But in this excitement we have forgotten that many banks want the same system and were in the process of buying software to do this and more.
Here are some emails that show banks are clearly interested in the same technology. None of the links that were used in this story are active any more and most of the website are out of service. So only some of the emails can be included here. Please find and use a working HBGary Email search engine to get more details.
First, we can see that HBGary is not a company with technical knowledge even though they made this claim publicly and even within their own organization. They bought software services from Endgame systems, who tried hard to keep themselves out of the picture, citing only vague "feedback from government clients"

Now we see Bank of the West's active interest, plus a connection to Endgame Systems, clearly showing HBGary as resellers without technical knowledge.

Hi Tom,
I received the email below from BotW. Originally (under David G) the plan
was for HBGary Federal to invoice, and then pay EndGames. I think you
already invoiced them, correct?
Should I proceed to invoice them, and then pay EndGames?
Regards,
Ted

Union Bank not only is interested and even bought a system, but wants an upgrade. What is Responder Pro? This product wasn't on Endgame System's website.

2. Phil explained that he needs to download the software from the portal.
The Responder Pro software for Union Bank is registered to Morian Eberhard.
We need to transfer this to Peter Lam. I just created an account for Peter

Can you please assist?

Hi Maria,
This is what Penny sent back - looks like the EULA you provided as
outdated? Should we pass this back to Tony, he just pinged about it?

OK this isn’t the most current EULA and if they want all these
changes, then they need the most current. Second, I can not remove
sections pertaining to export and gov’t restrictions, third my
