Normally, by the time Top Comments is posted, I have this diary close to wrapped up, and it's just a matter of adding a couple more diaries to the lists as they come up late. Tonight, not so. In fact, I just started writing this as The Daily Show is ending, which gives me about an hour before I need to publish.
It's been a busier day than I expected, and somewhat annoying in that I didn't find anything that really fit the group's profile. Usually I can find at least one diary, and likely someone did post something that fits the group, but I can't catch everything, so wherever it is, I missed it. Apologies to everyone for failing you, tonight.
I'm surprisingly worn out, too. Not sure why. I mean, sure it was busy, but still, it doesn't seem like I did all that much. Then again, I did exercise more than usual, today, so that may have something to do with it. And I guess banging my head against the brick wall of my next diary should be taken into consideration, too.
All that said, there are a few diaries in my rec list I think APC regulars will find interesting, so I've added comments to help single them out. (Or ignore them. I'm not your boss.)
Oh, and I don't care what you say, Chinese exploding watermelons is funny. The jokes practically write themselves. (Fruit pops, anyone?)
A Perfect Conversation is a group for republishing diaries that:
A) Challenge the DK conventional wisdom.
B) Provide information which may lead to new ideas.
or
C) Push for action that is innovative or not just playing defense.
The point is not to agree (or disagree) with these diaries. It's about challenging ourselves to rethink our political philosophies, activities, and issue positions.

Nothing today, folks. Sorry!
However, honorable mention to Surazeus for Rise On Angel Wings. Sometimes the format in which ideas are presented can challenge our thinking just as much as the content, especially when that format requires interpretive effort on our part. Unfortunately, this was originally written back in 2007 about the Bush administration, which makes it kinda irrelevant at this point. (Or does it? If you think it should be included, I'd be more than interested in reading your reasons.) Even so, you may still find it worth your time.
A full list of all diaries republished to A Perfect Conversation can always be found here. Feel free to check it out at any time.

The Chinese just learned how to make Watermelons explode. But us westerners have been doing it so long, we've turned it into art!
