The Storm Prediction Center has issued a rare high risk area across Oklahoma and Kansas for a major tornado outbreak this afternoon. The outbreak is expected to be centered across Oklahoma, extreme northern Texas, and southern Kansas, with a lower (but still elevated) risk of a major tornado outbreak across northwestern Arkansas, northern Texas (including Dallas/Ft. Worth), most of the rest of Kansas, and western Missouri this afternoon.
A PDS (Particularly Dangerous Situation) tornado watch has been issued for parts of Texas and Oklahoma for the threat of very large, long track, destructive tornadoes, hail larger than baseballs, and destructive wind gusts over 70 MPH.
Jump the fold for information on this upcoming tornado outbreak, as well as a map to make more sense of what I said above. The newest updates will appear at the top of the text below the fold.
Keep dickish and political comments out of here. Politics should and do go out the window when stuff like this happens. Consider yourself warned.

Update 2 143PM Central
Here's a satellite from the College of DuPage showing clouds building up, where the storms will fire shortly. I've circled areas where the clouds are building the quickest, and will probably form into storms first.
A meta note, I won't update the watches below anymore for new or cancelled/expired severe t'storm watches. I'll only do it for tornado watches now, as they're the most serious threat today.
Update 1 130PM Central
Again, pardon me if I screw up the times, I'm still not used to living in Eastern.
A new tornado watch has been issued for eastern Colorado and western Kansas until 1000PM CDT. Click here to see it, I will update the watches below shortly. Big storms in Colorado already, with a supercell developing in southwestern Kansas. I'll start posting radars when tornado warnings go up.
We're waiting for this dryline to move east into Oklahoma, where the ripest conditions are located. Drylines move in big leaps as opposed to constant motion like cold or warm fronts. As soon as it hits the right conditions, storms will literally explode in 20-30 minutes from nothing to possibly tornadic.
Here are some maps from the Storm Prediction Center, because they can tell you more than I ever could. You can access the outlook maps HERE, and the watch maps HERE.

Today's Severe Weather Outlook
Today's Tornado Threat
Today's Hail Threat
Today's Damaging Wind Threat
The cities that have the largest risk for severe weather are Wichita, KS, Tulsa, OK and Oklahoma City, OK. Areas in and around these cities need to take extreme caution to protect life and property on short notice this afternoon and evening.
I will continue to update this diary and operate it as a liveblog as the storms get going. I know that the threat for severe weather is very widespread today, but I'm going to focus on the Midwest from Dallas up through Kansas, and east into NW AR and W MO.
