This isn't much of a diary, but more of a bulletin. I'm not sure of the veracity of the source, but the report at this link here says that Turkey has invaded Syria in order to stop what appears to be the start of a civil war near the border.
Should this be true, then there's a genuine possibility of a second international war between a member of NATO and an Arab country as an outgrowth of the so-called Arab spring, and the first "full scale invasion" by one. Unlike, say, Bahrain, where foreign invasion was invited by the government, this may be the start of something very, very big.
