Each of us knows the problem. Progressives are tens of millions, not acting
in unison.
Many of our major sites are doing strong things with various calls to action.
Yet probably moreso than corporate money or control of Media Inc, GOP'ers
gain advantage out of their ability to march in lock-step. Right wing principals
& prominents read from uniform script, the gullible follow.
Though we are too deep and diverse to mimic that - nor would ever want to -
the fact remains that if a Progressive agenda is going to take root in America,
we must be far more coordinated in our actions.
Unify the movement's prominents, harness it supporters. Envision;
* A committee (and assuming competence, I don't care who it comprises of)
that selects one action per day for the Progressive WWW to get on. Calling
a senator's office, emailing a media outlet, driving a hash to Trending status,
boycotting a product, etc. Just single out 1 thing, that everybody does that
day.
* A green box at the top right corner of every Progressive site on the WWW
(sample above).
That is the route to ubiquity IMO. Everyone will see it, hundreds of thousands
& eventually millions will click it.
Then we can press the matter.
What Next:
This post is the first airing of the Act Box concept & graphic. Requesting agrees, critiques, embellishments. If there's support here I'll be tweeting the tinylink from the @Balkingpoints Twitter, to prominents like Kos, Josh Marshall, Katrina vH & others. It's time to get stronger.
