Professional concern-troll Tommy Christopher of Mediaite tried to get Markos Moulitsas to censor part of a diary here at Daily Kos. When that failed, he wrote not one but two columns about it that would be masterpieces of unintentional comedy were it not for Christopher's smear of Mike Stark as "a man with a troubling history".
Now at first one might make the case that Tommy Christopher was referring to Mike Stack, a mouth-breather of the nutter right and only typed the name "Stark" by mistake. I'm not so sure. The entire M.O. of Mediaite is to pose as liberals but to spend all their time concern-trolling about liberals Saying Rude Things -OH NOES!
For example, Tommy Christopher carried on a series of plangent, oh-so-earnest attacks on Keith Olbermann for his scathing ridicule of right-wing miscreants. However, you never see Mediaite's columnists attacking right-wingers like Glenn Beck, who uses avowed Nazis like Elizabeth Dilling and Eustace Mullins as credible sources for his paranoid ravings. You never see Tommy Christopher spamming up the Twitter accounts of right-wing commentators like he did with Olbermann. To make matters worse, Mediaite used doctored footage from a white supremacist site to attack Ed Schultz.
In fact, not only does the site prefer to concern-troll about left-wingers for being meanies (like their recent attacks on Mike Malloy), but they are quite prone to special pleading on behalf of right-wing cranks like Andrew Breitbart. More recently, the site has been shilling for one of Faux News' more obnoxious and cretinous talking heads -whose name will not be mentioned here.
The point is that websites specializing in smarmy concern-trolling should clean up their own act before attacking Daily Kos, Ed Schultz, Mike Stark or anyone else.
